We saw this home built from nothing but dirt into a home. It was our first home we owned together, and we brought our second son home to this house as a baby. We had a lot of good memories and "firsts" with our kids in the home. The fenced back yard was a great feature for the kids to play in privacy. The trails around the area were fun to take the kids for walks. Most of my memories of having small kids was in this house and it holds a warm place in my heart.
Raleigh has the benefits of a big city with a small town feel. Housing prices are reasonable compared to other metro areas. The parks system was fantastic, with all kinds of programs for families and kids. Local parks were plentiful for bringing the kids to play. Getting across the city doesn't take long at all. Plenty of restaurants for family and adventurous dining.
Edgewater was a great neighborhood for families. We liked to take walks around the neighborhood and the protected wetland area behind our home with the Neuse River Greenway. Stores and restaurants are close and only 15 minutes to downtown Raleigh. The neighborhood pool is a nice place to hang out with the kids in summer.
The Neuse River Trail behind the neighborhood was always a fun walk.
We've lovingly cared for our home and made the following renovations: New Mohawk laminate wood plank flooring throughout main level. New dishwasher, new disposal. Coming in June, new oven range, microwave hood, and refrigerator. New carpet and paint. (All 2018) New water heater in 2016.
