To the future owners of 1521 Woodcreek Drive,
We purchased this home in August 2015. We fell in love with the curb appeal and spacious outdoor living area. The wrap around porch and the stone work on the house were impressive yet inviting, and the expansive yard offered plenty of room for our family to move about with visiting friends. This private, safe neighborhood gave our children lots of places to explore. We loved the large basement for exercise and family time together enjoying a movie or musical together. We have hosted many beautiful dinners on the porch with friends and family. We have gone tubing down the Yellow Breeches Creek on many hot afternoons, and have enjoyed evening walks through the neighborhood visiting neighbors or walking the dog. The sounds of the crickets and frogs during the summer, the roaming deer, and children chasing lightening bugs are the things we will always love and treasure about this home. The wildlife here is breathtaking.
The best feature of this property is how beautiful the home looks situated on the hill. When we drove around the corner for the first time and saw this beautiful farmhouse with a huge wrap around porch and beautiful stone work, we were elated to move here and settle into this beautiful setting as a family. We also love our organic vegetable garden which the whole family participates in.
We love the quiet, private and serene location here in High Meadows, with access to great restaurants and shopping nearby in Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill, and the Carlisle Pike. We love healthy, fresh foods, and we also like to be prepared with basic things for the home too. For that reason, we drive to Costco in Harrisburg about once per month to stay well-stocked, Wegmans on the Carlisle Pike weekly, and the Camp Hill Giant for any other last minute shopping needs. We frequent the local Farmer's Markets weekly. We enjoy the Camp Hill Cedars Lebanese Restaurant, Panera, Chipotle, and Cafe Magnolia.
With five children, we have really enjoyed the downtown Capital Tour and the Whitaker Museum. There are many seasonal festivals at local farms for apple, blueberry, and peach picking. Don’t miss out on fun day trips to the Amish Village, Lake Tobias, and Baltimore Aquarium. This area is also great for hiking the Appalachian Trail! We also love the DC museums and the National Zoo which are all free! The location is wonderful for easy access to the freeways, turnpike, and of course some wonderful neighboring cities such as Washington DC, Baltimore, New York City and Philadelphia.
We have truly enjoyed our time here, and we are certain that you will too!
