The things I love about Chapel Hill are being in close proximity to great education, culture, and activities but at the same time living in a quiet area that allows me to experience the peace of nature.

We love this neighborhood because everyone is friendly and respectful, there are lots of dog lovers, and there is a sense of community that is shown constantly by neighbors helping each other out. It is a great walking community where you see both adults and children out often.

Favorite places to eat or grab coffee or a drink would be the Granary at Fearington Village (great comfort food), biscuits at Rise, BBQ at The Station, and grabbing a beer outside of Weaver Street Market while watching the world go by is a great way to spend a warm evening.

We love this area because within a 10 minute drive we can see a concert, eat at dozens of individually owned restaurants, play golf, go to sporting events, or get to some great hiking spots. It's a fantastic mix of entertainment, food, and outdoor living.

Within 2 miles of this home are a Lowes Foods and a Harris Teeter grocery store, gas stations, a UNC pediatric medical office, and multiple restaurants.

We love the area and look forward to the Carrboro farmer's market that occurs weekly, as well as outdoor concerts (including Friday on the front porch at the Carolina Inn), UNC basketball and football games, 4th of July celebrations, and numerous ethnic and cultural fairs throughout the year.

The first thing that really stood out to us was that we were close enough to neighbors to feel that we were part of a community, but there was a lot of beautiful land around the home so that we could have some privacy to enjoy nature when we wanted to. This house has almost 2 acres of land around it! There are endless possibilities of what to do with it all, or leave it as is and enjoy the natural landscaping. We also loved the 2-story family room that really seems to invite the outdoors in.

We are happy hikers and bikers; the roads around here are not congested and all motorists have been very respectful and watchful for bikers on the road. There are also multiple biking/walking trails including the Tobacco Trail that are wonderful. We can hike locally in the UNC or Duke forests or around beautiful Jordan lake, or take a short drive and camp out in the Smokey Mountains. We have two dogs and there is a lot of pet-friendly areas nearby including a great dog park about a 5 minute drive away. We are also avid readers and the back deck opens onto a quiet wooded area that is fantastic to spend time getting lost in a book.

We've lovingly cared for the home and completed the following improvements: a new roof within the last 2 years, refurbishing and staining the deck, clearing dead and obtrusive trees to allow a more open feeling but still keeping the feeling of nature out the back step.

This house will be great for a family, because it allows privacy via large bedrooms but the center of the home is the family room and eat-in kitchen that brings everyone to a shared space. HOA costs are only $85 per year.
